the answer from the Mayor of LibrazhdThe Campign “A Crowd against Blood Feuds” is expired on the 30th of September. The Campaign was aimed to pressure the local institutions and push them to act in order to struggle against the blood feuds phenomenon. The Campaign consisted of a questionnaire, drafted by Operazione Colomba Volunteers, containing three questions about the phenomenon, asking how the newly elected Mayor would have liked to act with the aim of eradicating the phenomenon. Close to the expiring date of the Campaign “A Crowd against Blood Feuds”, scheduled for the 30th of September, the number of answers sent by the Albanian Mayors definitely increased. Many Mayors, indeed, sent a letter of answer on time, even if often too short, especially considering the very detail of the questions.

The answer from the Mayor of Pogradec about blood feuds

Përgjigjet nga Kryetari i Bashkisë së Pogradecit

In the last days of the Campaign “A crowd against blood feuds”, expired on the 30th of September, Operazione Colomba volunteers received many letters of answer sent by the newly elected Mayors. They were the the addressees of the questionnaire draft by the volunteers in order to raise awareness and pressure the institutions with the aim of fighting the blood feuds phenomenon, a plague that still afflicts the whole Country.
Today we post the answer from the Mayor of Pogradec,  Eduart Qemal Kapri. As usual, we shortly remind the questions and afterword the entire answer follows. (more…)

Meeting with the City Councillor for Social Services of Shkoder

On the 2nd of October Operazione Colomba volunteers went to the City Hall of Shkoder for a meeting with the City Councillor for Social Services, Mr. Filip Vida, and his assistant, Mrs. Rudina Kruja. The meeting followed several reminders sent to the newly elected Mayor Voltana Ademi, in order to receive answers to the questionnaire about the blood feuds phenomenon. (more…)
